Eagle Hill made hundreds of sandwiches for the McKenna’s Wagon program, which is part of Martha’s Table. The employees of Eagle Hill spent the morning preparing and packing sandwiches that were then distributed to one or more of the five Washington, DC locations. “It was great to come together as a team and make a difference in the community in which we all live and work,” commented Reetu Cook, co-organizer of the event.
McKenna’s Wagon is a mobile soup kitchen that provides food to low income and homeless families, as well as to toddlers in day-care, local senior-citizens, homeless shelters and after-school programs. Eagle Hill’s participation contributes to feeding 1,200 plus families in need throughout the Washington, DC area. Martha’s Table is a Washington, DC nonprofit organization.
