Eagle Hill Consulting sponsors the Girls Incorporated 2009 Washington, DC Celebration Luncheon

McLean, Virginia - May 5, 2009

Eagle Hill Consulting served as a sponsor for the Girls Inc, 2009 Celebration Luncheon held at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, D.C. The luncheon honored the Girls Incorporated vision to empower girls with the confidence to become active, engaged citizens in an equitable society.

After a warm welcome from the President and CEO Joyce M. Roché, four Girls Inc. National Scholars spoke about their experiences. Each scholar highlighted her struggles and gratitude towards Girls Inc. for helping her discover her potential. The scholars then presented honoree awards to business leaders whose work is helping to build a society that is truly equitable for all. The 2009 honorees were: Megan Beyer, PBS; Lorna Donatone, Sodexo; Natalie Ludaway, Leftwich & Ludaway; and Robin Michel, Giant-Landover.

The Luncheon was part of Girls Inc. Girls’ Rights Week 2009: If Girls Had Their Rights. During Girls' Rights Week, the Girls Inc. network shares their stories with members of Congress and advocates on behalf of Girls Inc. programs and communities that have inspired them in spite of the compounding pressures they face.
