Eagle Hill Consulting employees gathered to run, walk, and cheer at the 3rd Annual AIDs Walk Washington. The event drew over 7,000 individuals who joined together to participate in the 5K walk and timed run with all proceeds benefitting the Whitman-Walking Clinic’s HIV/AIDS programs. Located in Northwest DC, the Whitman-Walker Clinic is a non-profit that makes health care and social services available to citizens of the DC metropolitan area.
Matt Straughn, an experienced management consultant at Eagle Hill, placed first out of over 800 runners in the 5K run with an impressive time of 16 minutes and 11 seconds. “I really enjoyed being able to participate in the 2009 DC AIDS Walk/Run 5k” stated Matt. “It was a great course and great weather. Having Eagle Hill come out and support the race and me made the victory all the more rewarding.”
Eagle Hill’s President, Melissa Jezior and her family were in the crowd to cheer Matt on to victory. “My family and I were delighted to come out to support one of our employees as well as a good cause. It’s always fun to spend time with Eagle Hill friends and family outside the office.”
"Being involved in our community is part of Eagle Hill’s identity. Our firm has strong ties to our local community and supports our employees’ interest in making a difference."
