Reading and learning new things. I’ve challenged myself to read 50 books in 2021, and I’m diversifying my “to-read” list with recommendations from friends and colleagues.

I wish I were a polyglot! You only truly understand another culture when you see the world through the linguistic lens of others.

What makes me most comfortable

I’m most comfortable spending time with my family. I like to surprise my parents with special family vacations – don’t worry I give them time to pack!

When I was last outside of my comfort zone

I was lost in the Silk Market in Beijing, China. I loved checking out all the different stalls, and I became distracted. Soon I realized that my friends had already moved along, and I didn’t have a cell phone to find them. Before that trip, I had only visited countries where people spoke Romance languages.
