• At the top of my bucket list

Living abroad. I love the experience of diving into a foreign culture. Well, mostly the part where you dive into the local food. I cannot think of any better way to become semi-fluent in a language. It’s hard to see how this plan would fit into my life today, but never say never.

  • The words or phrases I most overuse

Framing. A best practice of professional communication is framing your message in a strategic way. I find ways to apply this term to everything – whether it’s building stakeholder buy-in for change or crafting a personal email.

  • What “breaking away from the expected” means to me

Not just selling a service for the sake of sales, but having pride in the quality of the work we deliver. Even something as small as a status report is prepared with care, because it is a reflection of the time and attention we pay to each of our clients.

  • The qualities that make me an “unconventional” consultant

I’ve been a consultant since day one of my career, but that doesn’t make me conventional. I approach new projects without preconceived notions. There is always so much to learn with each new client, new team, and new challenge. Approaching projects with an open mind leads to personal growth and a better end product.

  • Where I find inspiration in day-to-day life

My daughter. As a toddler, she is in constant wonder of everything. Something as insignificant as a hole in the floorboard is the most fascinating part of her day. I love the idea of finding happiness in little things we often overlook.
