F: Creating a culture around your core values needs to be intentional. And it needs to be done on a day to day basis.
M: The key here is that everybody needs to be involved in developing and owning those core values. So it’s a matter of having core values that come from a combination of top down and bottom up. And it’s not a factor of writing them in an employee handbook and sending them out to your employees and saying these are our core values. It really needs to be imbedded into
M: the heart and soul of the organization.
F: The rest of the organization will take its cue from leadership. So it’s extremely important that core values are always top of mind in all the decisions that you make. And all the actions that you take.
M: The key is looking at employees as a whole package and not just looking at them doing their job but doing it in a way that aligns with the core values and the culture of your organization.
