Something people might not know about me
I was a pole vaulter for my high school track and field team. During those four years I set the record for highest vault by a freshman at 9’ 6” and held the third highest vault in the state of Maryland for three years at 13’.
Something I recently learned to do
Recently I took lessons and learned how to DJ. My first performance was throwing my grandma a surprise 80th dance birthday party.
My personal BHAG (big hairy audacious goal)
I would love to write and illustrate my own children’s book. I still have some ideas from my days as a teacher.
My childhood favorite book
Where the Wild Things Are. I love the illustrations and the message of being brave enough to leave the comfort of “home” to face new challenges, grow from overcoming them, and then return to those you love as a better version of yourself.
