My favorite motto
“Bloom wherever you’re planted.” My mom said this to me all the time growing up and I’ve always tried to embrace growth and positivity no matter where life takes me.
My hobby
I have been developing my own black and white film and photo prints in the darkroom since learning how to do it in high school! Being in the darkroom is very therapeutic and calming for me.
What “breaking away from the expected” means to me
Embracing and emphasizing the existing talents of the people engaged in work together and using those to creatively solve tough problems.
My most significant role model
My grandmother, who taught me the importance of a hearty laugh in the face of life’s problems.
At the top of my bucket list
Visiting all seven continents—four down, three to go!
Something most people might not know
I speak a little bit of Indonesian from studying abroad in Bali in college, where I conducted research on Balinese Hindu cremation ceremonies.
